held an election rally in Slavonski Brod on Tuesday to present its
platform and candidates in constituency no. 5. #L#
The list of candidates of this party is headed by Tomislav Mercep,
who said he knew "how to help Slavonia and bring back her pride."
"I think the money stolen here after the Homeland War should be
given back. (...) If I enter the Sabor, I will bring all MPs from
Slavonia together and insist that this be carried out," Mercep
said.
Mercep said he would not annul the Value Added Tax because "every
country in transition needs it, because only through taxes can it
strengthen and renew services necessary for the functioning of the
state. (...) This tax should stay, and those who want to do business
should be encouraged otherwise."
