BJELOVAR, Nov 16 (Hina) - The leader of the Croatian Social Liberal
Party (HSLS), Drazen Budisa, has said that the current opposition
will win 70 percent of the vote in the upcoming parliamentary
elections. Budisa was speaking at an election rally of the HSLS/DC
(Democratic Centre) coalition in constituency no. 2 in Bjelovar on

The HSLS leader believes that over the past four years Croatia has
not made progress in any field and that it has even made a step
backwards in education and judiciary.
DC leader Mate Granic said the Social Democratic Party and the
Croatian People's Party constantly exchanging accusations for
wrong moves was disgraceful behaviour. He criticised Prime
Minister Ivica Racan for failing to openly say "that Croatia will
not be able to join the European Union together with Bulgaria and
Romania".
Granic said the HSLS/DC coalition offered the concept of limited
state intervention, lower taxes, and fair governance.
