Explaining his interview in today's issues of Novi List and Glas
Slavonije dailies, Mesic told reporters he had mentioned the
possibility of such a coalition in case the balance of power after
the elections was such that it would be impossible to form a new
government.
"There is a theoretical possibility of that happening, but since
that possibility has been ruled out, there is no point in
speculating," Mesic said at the Mona Lisa gallery, where he visited
an exhibition of classic painter Vilim Svecnjak, which was staged
to mark the tenth anniversary of the painter's death.
