DUBROVNIK, Nov 14 (Hina) - The leader of the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ), Ivo Sanader, had called on voters to go to the polls on November 23 and vote for the HDZ to replace "these incompetent authorities".

November 23 and vote for the HDZ to replace "these incompetent

Speaking at an election rally in Dubrovnik on Friday, Sanader said
the current authorities "have demonstrated lack of competence,
care and knowledge, especially with regard to the most needy ones,
notably mothers, soldiers, disabled people and pensioners".
There are many reasons why the current authorities must be
replaced, and one of them is the attitude to Croatian soldiers, the
HDZ leader said. He added that the adoption of a law on the rights of
Croatian soldiers and their families would be one of the first
measures of the new government.
