Wolfgang Gressmann, and Croatian Mine Action Centre head Oto Jungwirth visited a mine removal site in Lasinja municipality near Karlovac, some 50 km south of Zagreb, on Friday.

Ursula Fahringer, the regional director of the humanitarian
foundation Arbeiter Samariter Bund (ASB), Wolfgang Gressmann, and
Croatian Mine Action Centre head Oto Jungwirth visited a mine
removal site in Lasinja municipality near Karlovac, some 50 km
south of Zagreb, on Friday. #L#
Mine clearance at this location is being carried out by the Zagreb-
based Dok-ing company and financed by the German government with
the mediation of ASB.
Germany is the leading foreign de-mining donor in Croatia and this
year alone it provided 780,000 euros for ten projects covering an
area of some 500,000 square metres, HCR director Jungwirth said.
Deputy Ambassador Hoelscher said that over the past three years the
German government had invested 1.8 billion euros in 23 mine
clearance projects in Croatia, covering an area of one million
square metres.
