was not surprised at the ICTY indictment, adding he would not surrender to the tribunal, Belgrade's daily Vesti reports.
BELGRADE, Nov 10 (Hina) - Serbia and Montenegro's Lt. General
Vladimir Lazarevic, who has been indicted by the International
Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia, said he was not
surprised at the ICTY indictment, adding he would not surrender to
the tribunal, Belgrade's daily Vesti reports. #L#
A meeting of support to Lazarevic, who has been indicted together
with three military and police generals for crimes in Kosovo in
1991, was held downtown Kraljevo on Monday. The rally pooled some
200 people.
The president of the national body for cooperation with the UN war
crimes tribunal, Foreign Minister Goran Svilanovic, has recently
said such meetings are the fastest way to The Hague for the indicted
generals.
