Presenting his slate in Zagreb on Friday, Lijanovic, who is one of
the brothers from the well-known business family in Herzegovina,
said his list was the only one which had a programme for voters in
Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Severely criticising political opponents, Croatian Democratic
Union (HDZ) candidates, Jerko Lijanovic said "the HDZ has so far
done only damage to Croats in Bosnia-Herzegovina. I believe that
parties from Croatia have no legitimacy to represent the Diaspora.
Only people from the Diaspora, those who live and work in Bosnia,
can do this".
Presenting his programme at a news conference, Lijanovic said it
defined a joint strategy of Croatia and Bosnia for their entry into
the European Union, and that because of their joint interests
Croatia should financially assist Bosnia in efforts to enter the EU
as soon as possible, while Croatia should not be delayed in its bids
at the same time .
Lijanovic also explained his election motto, 'Let's Erase the
Border and Solve Our Issue Permanently', saying it referred to the
removal of the frontier between Croatia and Bosnia.
"Our vote will decide. Those we support will have a chance to form a
government, and we shall support those who accept our programme,"
he added
