THE HAGUE/ZAGREB, Nov 3 (Hina) - The Prosecutor's Office of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) said Monday at a regular status conference in the Ivica Rajic case that the indictment against that
former commander of the Croatian Council of Defence (HVO) would be expanded.
THE HAGUE/ZAGREB, Nov 3 (Hina) - The Prosecutor's Office of the
International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY)
said Monday at a regular status conference in the Ivica Rajic case
that the indictment against that former commander of the Croatian
Council of Defence (HVO) would be expanded. #L#
Eight years ago, the UN war crimes tribunal at The Hague indicted
Rajic, former commander of HVO's second operative group from
Kiseljak, for the killing of at least 16 Bosniak civilians in the
central Bosnian village of Stupni Do in October 1993.
According to announcements, the expansion will refer to the same
crimes, time and place as in the original indictments.
The Trial Chamber gace Rajic's attorney 45 days to voice his opinion
on the expanded indictment.
At the status conference, Rajic said he was feeling all right and
that he had no objections to prison conditions.
