Speaking at the start of a convention of the Croatian Bishops'
Conference in Hvar on the island of Hvar on Monday, Cardinal Bozanic
welcomed the new Apostolic Nuncio to Croatia, Francisco-Javier
Lozano, saying his presence at the convention was very important
because he represented the pope.
One of the main topics to be addressed at the convention is an
analysis of the messages Pope John Paul II gave during his third
apostolic visit to Croatia.
The participants will also address the contribution of the Catholic
Church to Croatia's integration into European associations and the
implementation of agreements between the Holy See and Croatia.
