ZAGREB, Oct 14 (Hina) - Croatian Foreign Minister Tonino Picula on Tuesday received Gar Knutson, Secretary of State for Central and eastern Europe and the Near East at the Canadian foreign office, who is heading a Canadian economic
delegation visiting Croatia, the Croatian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
ZAGREB, Oct 14 (Hina) - Croatian Foreign Minister Tonino Picula on
Tuesday received Gar Knutson, Secretary of State for Central and
eastern Europe and the Near East at the Canadian foreign office, who
is heading a Canadian economic delegation visiting Croatia, the
Croatian Foreign Ministry said in a statement. #L#
According to the statement, Knutson said Canada supported
political and economic reforms in Croatia, as well as its joining
NATO and the EU. He said the numerous Croatian diaspora in Canada
was an important tie between the two countries.
Knutson accepted Picula's proposal that Canada once again
reconsider its visa regime for Croatian citizens, the statement
said.
Representatives of the Canadian economic delegation also visited
the Croatian Environmental Protection and Zoning Ministry.
