VINKOVCI, Oct 4 (Hina) - The main celebration marking October 5, Croatian Railways Day, took place at the railway station in eastern Croatia's Vinkovci, which is under reconstruction, on Saturday. Also marked was the 125th anniversary
of the local Slavonski Brod-Vinkovci-Dalj railroad.

Croatia's Vinkovci, which is under reconstruction, on Saturday.

As part of the celebrations, a monument was unveiled in front of the
Vinkovci railway station to local rail workers killed in the 1990s
war. A total of 193 rail workers were killed, about 500 were wounded
and 20 went missing during the war.
