financial and other services "SmartCard 2003" started in the
northern Adriatic resort of Opatija on Monday with lectures about
multiple-application chip cards. #L#
The three-day event has pooled some 200 experts on the use, design
and application of card systems and the development and maintenance
of security systems from international and domestic companies, and
economy and health sectors.
The event was organised by the Croatian Chamber of Economy, the
Ministry of Science and Technology, and two companies from Zagreb
and Rijeka.
