UMAG, Oct 4 (Hina) - Croatian fishermen continue to think Croatia should have proclaimed an economic zone in the Adriatic at once, not in a year's time, the president of the Fishermen's Guild of Istria's Buje area, Zeljko Majdenic,
said on Saturday.

in a year's time, the president of the Fishermen's Guild of Istria's
Buje area, Zeljko Majdenic, said on Saturday. #L#
He was commenting on parliament's decision yesterday to proclaim a
protected fishing and ecological zone in the Adriatic.
Even though in one sense fishermen got what they wanted, Majdenic
said Istrian fishermen were suspicious of parliament's decision
because they "fear that Croatia will not have the strength to
enforce the protected fishing and ecological zone, just as it had
neither the strength nor the courage to establish an economic zone
in the Adriatic".
