On Monday the Croatian president held talks with his Hungarian
counterpart, Ferenc Madl, and toured the main offices of the Danube
Commission in Budapest.
"We have also discussed traffic infrastructure. Croatia is
building roads which connect the Croatian-Hungarian border with
the Adriatic Sea, and Hungary is planning to complete a highway
towards the border with Croatia," Mesic said.
He added that he and his host had discussed the building of several
bridges, as well as ethnic minorities as a bridge between the two
nations.
The Croatian president and the state delegation visited the main
offices of the Danube Commission, which is currently chaired by
Croatia. The Commission is one of the oldest European multilateral
organisations.
