Addressing a party convention in Zagreb, which was attended by
around 3,000 delegates, Pusic said that an atmosphere of cynicism
was being created in Croatia ahead of parliamentary elections.
"It's not true that we're all the same. We're not the same, and we
have shown this through our consistent views and successes in major
projects," she said.
Pusic said her party would push for reforms in the justice system in
order to ensure equality of all citizens and create a positive
climate for the economy.
The convention was also addressed by numerous guests, including
representatives of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), the Social
Liberal Party (HSLS), the Democratic Centre (DC), the Istrian
Democratic Assembly (IDS), the Alliance of Primorje and Gorski
Kotar (PGS), the Croatian Party of Slavonija and Baranja (SBHS) and
the Independent Democrats (HND).
Davorko Vidovic of the SDP said he hoped the forthcoming
parliamentary elections "will decontaminate the political scene of
those who see politics exclusively as a means of achieving their
petty political interests and who project an image that we're all
the same."
Wishing the HNS an electoral success, Marijana Petir of the Peasant
Party (HSS) said she expected that the political scene would
normalise after the elections.
