ZAGREB INTERNATIONAL AUTUMN FAIR A SUCCESS - DIRECTOR

ZAGREB, Sept 21 (Hina) - The 79th Zagreb International Autumn Fair has been successful both according to the number of exhibitors and the number of visitors, director Davorin Spevec said on Sunday. #L# Especially successful were four new projects which attracted a lot of interest -- the First International Fair of Energetics, the Arca 2003 exhibition of discoveries and innovations, the "Eco-Ethno Croatia" and "Let's Buy Croatian" projects, Spevec said. This year's event, which opened on Sept. 16 and closes tonight, featured 1,704 exhibitors from 37 countries as well as 25 seminars, 40 percent of which were international, which pooled 4,000 people, he added. The number of visitors is estimated to be 140,000, he said, adding that Croatian manufacturers were not sufficiently present at the event. (hina) ha
