ZAGREB, Sept 17 (Hina) - Representatives of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCIPT) from the Shandong province, who are on a four-day visit to Croatia, on Wednesday signed an agreement on cooperation between
the CCIPT and the Zadar Chamber of Economy.

At a meeting held in the Croatian Chamber of Economy (HGK) in
Zagreb, HGK president Nadan Vidosevic said this was the second time
already that this Chinese delegation visited Croatia, which could
be interpreted as a wish for the promotion of economic cooperation.
Vidosevic, however, said that Croatia recorded a huge deficit in
trade with China. According to him, Croatia, which is in the process
of joining the EU, is interesting to China as an exit to the region
and Europe.
The head of the economy department with the Chinese Embassy in
Zagreb, Han Bing said conditions were created for raising economic
cooperation to a higher level.
