STOCKHOLM, Sept 16 (Hina) - A former Bosnian Serb leader, Biljana Plavsic, who is serving an 11-year term in a Swedish prison after she was convicted of crimes against humanity committed in Bosnia-Herzegovina, was transferred from the
jail to a hospital late Monday night, according to sources from the jail.

she was convicted of crimes against humanity committed in Bosnia-
Herzegovina, was transferred from the jail to a hospital late

The sources from women's penitentiary in Hinseberg, 180 kilometres
west of Stockholm, did not say why the ex-Bosnian Serb president,
aged 73, had been hospitalised nor the name of the hospital.
This February the UN war crimes tribunal for the former Yugoslavia
(ICTY) convicted her of crimes against humanity committed during
the war in Bosnia-Herzegovina from 1992 to 1995.
