BELGRADE: DEL PONTE HAS ENOUGH EVIDENCE ON CRIMES OF KLA

BELGRADE, Sept 2 (Hina) - The Chief Prosecutor of the UN war crimes tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY), Carla Del Ponte, has stated that she has enough evidence from an investigation of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA), according to a press release issued by Serbian Justice Minister Vladan Batic's office on Tuesday. #L# According to Batic, the ICTY Chief Prosecutor sent him a letter expressing willingness to invest additional efforts so that all war criminals, including KLA leaders, might be brought before justice. She also supports a project of processing war crimes by bodies of the national judiciary which she described as being in line with the planned strategy of the Hague-based tribunal. (hina) ms sb
