LJUBLJANA, Sept 8 (Hina) - Slovene President Janez Drnovsek said on Monday that his country had the historical right to access to the open sea. #L# "We are opposed to unilateral acts, but the dispute over declaration of an exclusive economic zone should be resolved according to the rules of European dialogue. Slovenia's position is clear -- we have the historical right to access to the open sea," Drnovsek told a press conference following talks with members of Bosnia-Herzegovina's Presidency, currently on a two-day visit to Ljubljana. Drnovsek went on to say that Slovenia supported Bosnia- Herzegovina's efforts to join the European Union, and added that the process of succession from the former Yugoslavia should be accelerated, including a solution to the problem of deposits in the Sarajevo-branch of Ljubljanska Banka. Dragan Covic, chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia-Herzegovina, said Slovenia was a friendly state, and that he expected that the two countries would continue their relationship based on partnership.
