Asked by reporters what Slovenia was planning to do if Croatia opted
for the proclamation of the zone, Rupel answered his country wished
and hoped that this would not happen.
"Unilateral moves are not the European method for solving possible
disagreements between different policies," the Slovene foreign
minister was quoted by the national agency STA as saying.
In Portoroz he opened an international conference on borders in
south-eastern Europe. The event has pooled Slovene experts and
guests from Austria and Croatia.
