ZAGREB, Aug 26 (Hina) - Austria's Ambassador to Zagreb, Hans Knitel, on Tuesday handed over an Austrian high decoration, namely a great gold medal, to the head of the Croatian Chamber of Commerce (HGK), Nadan Vidosevic, thanking him
for his efforts in promotion of the economic ties between Austria and Croatia.

Knitel, on Tuesday handed over an Austrian high decoration, namely
a great gold medal, to the head of the Croatian Chamber of Commerce
(HGK), Nadan Vidosevic, thanking him for his efforts in promotion
of the economic ties between Austria and Croatia. #L#
The decision to confer the award on Vidosevic was made in early July
by Austrian President Thomas Klestil, at the proposal of the
Austrian economy and labour ministry.
Vidosevic said the award also went to all HGK employees who
contributed to the development of the bilateral relations.
The trade between Croatia and Austria totalled over one billion US
dollars last year when Croatia's exports amounted to $364.9
million, rising by 36 percent in comparison to 2001. Austria's
exports rose by 12 percent to $710.3 million.
