ZAGREB, Aug 12 (Hina) - The fire raging along Mt. Ucka has still not been contained and a strong southerly wind is making fire-fighting efforts difficult, so the fire has spread towards the mainland of Istria peninsula, the state
information centre reported Tuesday.

Another fire broke out today in the Svetvincent municipality. Due
to the unapproachable terrain and strong wind, the fire has spread
and consumed some 35 hectares. Fire-fighters and a canadair are
trying to contain it.
A fire has broken out at a location on the island of Hvar where fire-
fighters have already extinguished a previous fire.
Fire-fighters this afternoon put out a fire which broke out in the
morning hours at Matakov brig along the central Adriatic coast.
Around ten hectares of pine forest and underbrush were consumed.
