Racan said media were speculation about a lot of this lately,
because they have nothing to write about.
"The same thing happened with my statement about tourism in Istria,
which has been entirely misinterpreted," said the prime minister.
He said that data on the tourist season would be presented at a
government session on Wednesday, adding that the results were not
disastrous at all.
Tonight's session of the SDP presidency was also attended by
representatives of the city branch of the SDP Zdravko Tomac and
Vlasta Pavic. Racan and Tomac said there were no misunderstandings
at the meeting and that Tomac's recent conflict with the president
of the party's head committee, Gorana Sobol, was not discussed. The
conflict broke out after Sobol said that it was tasteless to use
(Zagreb deputy mayor Milan) Bandic, who is sick, for the success at
the elections.
