ZAGREB, 18 July (Hina) - Representatives of four opposition party
benches at a news conference on Friday reiterated the reasons why
they opposed the sale of INA shares to Hungary's MOL and why they
refused to attend today's debate in parliament on the government's
decision of Thursday to sell the Croatian oil company. #L#
Representatives of the Croatian Democratic Union, the Croatian
Social Liberal Party (HSLS), the Croatian Party of Rights/the
Croatian Christian Democratic Union (HSP/HKDU) and the Democratic
Party (DC) said this was not only about the sale of 25% plus one
share of INA, but that the government in fact had sold a 50 percent
share in strategic decision making in the INA board for the price of
US$505 million.
They criticised the government for failing to make available all
relevant documents, namely contracts with MOL, prior to making a
decision on the sale of the Croatian oil company.
They say that as parliamentary deputies they were entitled to see
these documents.
