BANJA LUKA, July 11 (Hina) - A round-table discussion was held in Banja Luka on Friday on the possibility of Croats and Muslims, who were expelled during the war, returning to this town. #L# The discussion was attended by two vice-presidents of Republika Srpska, Ivan Tomljenovic and Adil Osmanovic, Serb government ministers and senior town officials. The panel was organised by the association of returnees and former Croat and Muslim residents of Banja Luka living abroad. Participants said that the remaining 3,000 citizens were expected to be given back their property before the end of this year, which they said was encouraging. Members of the association said they found unacceptable that many streets and neighbourhoods were named after infamous Chetnik commanders, which discouraged people from returning. They expressed concern over the symbolic number of non-Serbs employed in government and public institutions and services, and complicated procedures for obtaining the necessary documents for reviving small businesses.
