SERBIA TO PAY DAMAGES TO FORCIBLY CONSCRIPTED REFUGEES

BELGRADE, July 7 (Hina) - A court in Belgrade has passed a ruling ordering the Republic of Serbia to pay seven refugees from Croatia 2,000 euros each for the mental anguish they suffered as a result of their forcible mobilisation in August 1995, the Belgrade-based Centre for Humanitarian Law has reported.
BELGRADE, July 7 (Hina) - A court in Belgrade has passed a ruling ordering the Republic of Serbia to pay seven refugees from Croatia 2,000 euros each for the mental anguish they suffered as a result of their forcible mobilisation in August 1995, the Belgrade-based Centre for Humanitarian Law has reported. #L# Attorneys with this non-government organisation are representing 645 refugees from Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina in proceedings against the Republic of Serbia, seeking compensation for the damage their clients suffered due to forced mobilisation.
