of foreign investments in southeastern Europe ended in Vienna on
Friday with the adoption of joint conclusions. #L#
Ministers from Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia,
Macedonia, Moldova, Romania, and Serbia and Montenegro agreed that
obstacles to investment should be removed and that foreign
investors should be allowed to buy real estate necessary for
investment projects.
They also agreed that procedures for issuing work and residence
permits should be facilitated.
The ministers welcomed the support of the Organisation for Economic
Cooperation and Development (OECD) and the Stability Pact for the
establishment of a Council of Foreign Investors, which is
interested in establishing direct relations between investors and
government agencies and funds for investment promotion.
