The parade is secured by members of intervention police and around
100 security guards. Participants are carrying banners with
messages "I Am Proud to Be Gay", "I Am Tired of Explaining" and
"Equality Under the Law".
A large number of citizens have gathered in the area where the
parade is taking place, some of them criticising the participants,
some applauding them.
The "Zagreb Pride 2003" parade was organised by the "Iskorak" group
for the promotion and protection of various sexual orientations and
the "Kontra" lesbian group.
Unlike last year, politicians did not join in the parade, only
representatives of some associations for the promotion of human
rights.
