In a letter to LEN, the Serbia-Montenegro Alliance said the
Croatian team and the Croatian Water Polo Alliance should not bear
any consequence over fans' vandalism which they could not influence
or prevent, Belgrade media said.
"Croatian players, and the Croatian Water Polo Alliance, behaved
professionally and humanely towards us," read the letter signed by
the president of the Serbia-Montenegro Water Polo Alliance,
Aleksandar Sostar.
It would be unfair to water polo fans the world over if the Croatian
team were absent from the world championships in Barcelona, said
the letter.
