HGI officials said at a news conference that some sport fans
celebrated the victory of Serbia & Montenegro over Croatia in the
European finals in Kranj in an impermissible way.
The police said that sport fans in Tivat celebrated the victory in
ordinary fashion, forming columns of vehicles that toured the
streets, tooting their horns, displaying Yugoslav and Serbian
flags and singing.
"There were no cases of use of firearms in the vicinity of the
police, even though occasional shots could be heard, mostly on the
outskirts of Tivat," the police said.
