ZAGREB, June 18 (Hina) - A three-day international conference on the management of coastal zones, held in Stubicke Toplice, ended on Wednesday. The conference was organised by the agriculture and forestry ministry in cooperation with
the ministry of environmental protection and zoning and the ministry of maritime affairs, transport and communications, with the participation of representatives of local governments of coastal counties.

the management of coastal zones, held in Stubicke Toplice, ended on
Wednesday. The conference was organised by the agriculture and
forestry ministry in cooperation with the ministry of
environmental protection and zoning and the ministry of maritime
affairs, transport and communications, with the participation of
representatives of local governments of coastal counties. #L#
The conference was opened by Assistant Agriculture and Forestry
Minister Ivan Katavic, who is also the co-ordinator of a project for
the management of coastal mariculture zones.
Participants were greeted by the Norwegian Ambassador to Croatia,
Knut Thoraasen.
The experiences of Norway and Greece, as leading countries in
European mariculture, as well as results in this field in Australia
and America, were presented during the discussion.
