ZAGREB, June 18 (Hina) - The Croatian parliament resumed its
session Wednesday with a debate on a bill of amendments to the
environmental protection law. #L#
The amendments were moved by two MPs of the Social Democratic Party
(SDP), Marin Jurjevic and Vesna Podlipec. The amendments suggest
that cities instead of counties, as regulated by the law, be in
charge of the establishment of public institutions for managing
protected areas of the environment.
During the brief debate, the amendments were supported by the
Liberal and Social Liberal parliamentary benches.
The session resumed with a debate on a mini-package of tourism
laws.
