the government's decision to suspend the visa requirements for
citizens of Serbia-Montenegro as a temporary solution. #L#
According to a press release issued by this strongest opposition
party, the HDZ is not acquainted with all aspects of the decision of
the Ivica Racan Cabinet to abolish the visa requirements for a
period of six months.
The HDZ says that before a final decision is adopted it should be
taken into account that the Schengen regime will soon be applied at
Croatia's western and northern border-lines and that consequences
of that visa regime for Croatia's security should be taken into
consideration, too.
The HDZ is in favour of making a final decision on the entire visa
system in the light of Croatia's aspirations to gain full
membership of the EU.
