The meeting focused on possibilities of promoting bilateral
relations, considering that the two countries have the same
objective -- joining Euro-Atlantic associations -- with particular
emphasis on the strengthening of bilateral economic cooperation,
as well as creating conditions for simpler business activities. The
two also discussed issues regarding the property of Croatian
companies in Serbia and Montenegro and vice versa. Mesic and Batic
concluded that the two countries need to beging solving those
issues as soon as possible, the statement said.
