ZAGREB, May 29 (Hina) - The Coalition for the International Criminal Court (CICC), an international association gathering more than a thousand non-governmental organisations around the world, has recorded criticisms which leading NGOs
have forwarded to the United States due to its pressurising countries into signing an agreement on the non-extradition of its citizens to this court.

Criminal Court (CICC), an international association gathering more
than a thousand non-governmental organisations around the world,
has recorded criticisms which leading NGOs have forwarded to the
United States due to its pressurising countries into signing an
agreement on the non-extradition of its citizens to this court.

In a special press release issued last month, the Human Rights Watch
warned about the intense pressure to which different governments
were subjected to sign agreements with the United States granting
immunity from extradition to its citizens.
The press release says that all EU members, Australia, Canada,
Columbia, Norway, Switzerland and Croatia have publicly refused to
sign the agreement.
The Human Rights Watch says several dozens of countries have been
under intense pressure by the U.S.
Amnesty International, which has also slammed Washington's policy,
launched an Internet petition against the signing of said
agreements.
Countries which have so far signed the immunity agreement with the
United States are -- chronologically: Rumania, Israel, East Timor,
Tajikistan, the Marshall Islands, the Dominican Republic, Palau,
Mauritania, Uzbekhistan, Honduras, Afghanistan, Micronesia,
Gambia, El Salvador, Sri Lanka, India, Nepal, Djibouti, Tuvalu,
Bahrain, Georgia, Azerbeijan, Nauru, Rwanda, DR Congo, Tonga,
Sierra Leone, Gabon, Ghana, Madagascar, Maldives, Albania, Butan
and Bosnia-Herzegovina.
