president, Zlatko Tomcic, said at talks in Zagreb on Monday.

The Romanian head of state, who is on a two-day visit to Croatia,
toured the Sabor today. On that occasion he said that conflicts in
the area of the former Yugoslavia (Socialist federation of
Yugoslavia) had affected relations between Romania and Croatia,
but the situation had recently started going back to normal.
"Regional cooperation is useful for both countries which aspire to
the admission into Euro-Atlantic structures," Iliescu said.
Tomcic announced his visit to Bucharest for 2 July and said he was
glad to see that a deputy of ethnic Croats in the Romanian
parliament was included in the delegation led by Iliescu on this
visit to Croatia.
