ZAGREB, May 14 (Hina) - In the first four months of this year
Croatia's oil company INA realised a profit of around one hundred
million dollars, INA's Chief Executive Officer Tomislav Dragicevic
said in a talk-show as part of the eighth financial and third E-
business forums in Zagreb. #L#
Dragicevic ascribed the high profit to a big margin between a low
supply price of oil and a high price of petroleum products as a
repercussion of the Iraqi war.
He pointed out that according to the company's business plan for the
next five years, INA plans to retain 50 per cent of the retail market
in Croatia.
He explained that INA did not tender for the purchase of Serbia's
Beopetrol because he believed that the assets used ion the
establishment of Beopetrol in fact belonged to INA. "That is
definitely ours and so why should we want to buy it," he said
reminding that the matter had been in the courts for several years.
Dragicevic expects that the tender advertised by the Serbian
Privatisation Agency could be made void because of this.
