Croatian Deputy Maritime Affairs, Transport and Communications
Minister Pavao Komadina said that the annual plan of the Croatian
Roads company for 2003 envisaged an overall turnover of 1.256
billion kuna (EUR166 million) and 400 million kuna for road
construction to be secured through loans.
Planned investments amount to 922 million kuna.
Construction works on many roads which will connect the newly built
sections of the Zagreb-Rijeka highway with existing main arteries
are underway, he said.
Speaking on behalf of the competent parliament committee for
maritime affairs, transport and communications, Miroslav Korenika
said that planned programmes were being realised and that road
infrastructure was one of the best regulated economy sectors in
Croatia.
