Results show that 47.1 percent of the population are dissatisfied
with the government's performance to date, while only 14.2 percent
have a positive opinion.
The research also shows that Filip Vujanovic, the presidential
candidate nominated by the ruling Democratic Party of Socialists,
might win in the first election round on May 11.
Vujanovic looks likely to win 35.8 percent of the vote, while his
opponents, the Liberals' Miodrag Zivkovic and independent
candidate Dragan Hajdukovic, may win 8.9 and three percent
respectively.
As many as 37.4 percent of those questioned say the Serbia and
Montenegro constitutional charter effectively protects
Montenegro's key interests.
If a referendum on Montenegro's status were held tomorrow, 45.5
percent of the population would opt for independence, 34.4 percent
would vote against independence, while 20.1 percent are
undecided.
