PRISTINA, April 29 (Hina) - The U.N. Mission to Kosovo (UNMIK) on
Tuesday voiced concern over the fact that last week's report of U.N.
Secretary General Kofi Annan on the situation in Kosovo was not
taken into careful and serious consideration. #L#
In his report to the Security Council about the UNMIK's activities,
Annan said he was concerned seeing Albanian leaders in Kosovo
promoting stands which were in contrast to U.N. resolutions.
Kosovo leaders accused the UNMIK of relaying false information to
Annan, on the basis of which he made wrong assessments and
recommendations.
UNMIK spokeswoman Izabella Karlowitz told Tuesday's news
conference in Pristina that UNMIK reports were objective. She also
said that the U.N. secretary-general received reports not just from
the UNMIK, but also from representatives of western countries'
governments who had offices in Kosovo.
