The statement, signed by a senior military officer on the group's
Internet site, says that two of its members were killed in the
action, but does not state their names.
ANA has thus assumed responsibility for an action in Kosovo for the
first time.
Members of the UN Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK) and NATO-led peace-
keepers (KFOR) said that a body had been found near the bridge, but
the person's identity was as yet unknown.
UNMIK's police spokesman Barry Fletcher said today that there was
no evidence that the group was responsible for destroying the
railway bridge in the north of Kosovska Mitrovica.
