Alenka Kraigher, the head of the Slovene Health Institute's centre
for contagious diseases, said the Institute's staff examined the
entire group of Chinese currently accommodated at the Veliki otok
asylum centre near Postojna.
"They are all in good health. Two have a mild bodily temperature of
37.1 degrees, but we cannot talk of suspecting SARS," she said.
The Slovenes also refuted claims in some Croatian media to the
effect that the entire Slovene staff at the Plovanija border on duty
when the aliens were to be deported to Croatia had been quarantined
and put under supervision.
