the reconstruction and development of this eastern Croatian city, Diana Galic, said the fund had so far spent 30 per cent of the 67.9 million kuna earmarked for this year.
VUKOVAR, April 25 (Hina) - The St. Bono pastoral centre in Vukovar
hosted an event at which plans were presented for the
reconstruction of Vukovar for 2004-2008. Presenting the plans, the
president of the fund for the reconstruction and development of
this eastern Croatian city, Diana Galic, said the fund had so far
spent 30 per cent of the 67.9 million kuna earmarked for this year.

This was invested into 37 projects. In addition to the fund, the
Ministry of Public Works, Reconstruction and Construction and the
City of Vukovar are also involved in the projects.
Amongst the proposals presented today, there was a project to
reconstruct the historical centre of the town which was proposed by
the Ministry of Culture. An Croatian association of former
prisoners of Serb-run concentration camps proposed that a
Holocaust Museum be built as well.
The final reconstruction and development plan and programme for
Vukovar for 2004-2008 should be approved by the Croatian
government.
