RIJEKA, April 25 (Hina) - A German citizen Dieter Norbert Cowanski (53) was arrested on Thursday in Rosopasno near Dobrinj on the island of Krk for illegally possessing a larger amount of weapons and explosive matter and was today
taken before an investigating judge in Rijeka County Court and sent to custody for 48 hours.

(53) was arrested on Thursday in Rosopasno near Dobrinj on the
island of Krk for illegally possessing a larger amount of weapons
and explosive matter and was today taken before an investigating
judge in Rijeka County Court and sent to custody for 48 hours. #L#
A raid of Cowanski's house uncovered four hand rockets, 23 other
kinds of arms (sniper guns and automatic rifles), three pistols,
one flare gun, 68 bombs, 3,100 grams of military explosives, 3,081
pieces of various ammunition, 100 pieces of various containers and
other small arms, 25 pieces of various detonating capsules and
other military equipment, the police reported.
Cowanski stood mute before the investigative judge with silence.
