BELGRADE, April 22 (Hina) - The chairman of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), Dutch Foreign Minister Jaap de Hoop Scheffer, who on Tuesday afternoon arrived for a two-day visit to Serbia and Montenegro,
welcomed the local authorities' decision to lift the state of emergency in Serbia.
BELGRADE, April 22 (Hina) - The chairman of the Organisation for
Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), Dutch Foreign Minister
Jaap de Hoop Scheffer, who on Tuesday afternoon arrived for a two-
day visit to Serbia and Montenegro, welcomed the local authorities'
decision to lift the state of emergency in Serbia. #L#
The OSCE chairman and his hosts discussed how it was important for
Belgrade to continue cooperating with the UN war crimes tribunal
for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY). They also talked about the
results of the ongoing investigation into the March 12
assassination of Serbian Premier Zoran Djindjic, and the bids of
the new state union to come closer to Europe and to cooperate with
its neighbours in the region.
