PRISTINA, April 13 (Hina) - The Democratic Alliance of Kosovo on Saturday turned down an initiative of Hashim Thaqi, the leader of the second strongest local party, about a moratorium on bids to solve the final status of Kosovo, and
the Alliance, led by Kosovo President Ibrahim Rugova stressed that one should work on that the international community recognise the independence of Kosovo as soon as possible.

Saturday turned down an initiative of Hashim Thaqi, the leader of
the second strongest local party, about a moratorium on bids to
solve the final status of Kosovo, and the Alliance, led by Kosovo
President Ibrahim Rugova stressed that one should work on that the
international community recognise the independence of Kosovo as

The strongest party, led by Rugova, also stated that it firmly
committed itself to making it possible that the will of citizens who
voted for Kosovo's independence at a 1991 referendum, should be
respected.
