SISAK, April 4 (Hina) - Union federations are dissatisfied with the current course of negotiations on changes to the Labour Act between the government, employers and unions and have therefore set up a committee to organise a
referendum on a general strike in Croatia, "should the talks with the other two social partners fall through", the president of the Croatian Association of Trade Unions (HUS), Zdenko Mucnjak, said in Sisak on Friday.
SISAK, April 4 (Hina) - Union federations are dissatisfied with the
current course of negotiations on changes to the Labour Act between
the government, employers and unions and have therefore set up a
committee to organise a referendum on a general strike in Croatia,
"should the talks with the other two social partners fall through",
the president of the Croatian Association of Trade Unions (HUS),
Zdenko Mucnjak, said in Sisak on Friday. #L#
Mucnjak said the HUS would discuss the possibility of a general
strike at a convention in Split on May 6, and added the matter would
be decided on the basis of the results of a union referendum, to be
held on the same day.
