The decision imposing a moratorium on recent Croatian history
classes for Serb students in the Danube region was adopted under the
Erdut Agreement of 1995 and the Croatian government's Letter of
Intent of 1997 which guaranteed autonomy in culture and education
for members of the Serb minority in the Danube region.
