The signing of the charter, which envisages the adoption of six new
laws in this field, marked the set-up of a council consisting of
members of parliament: Vesna Skare Ozbolt (the Democratic Centre),
Djurdja Adlesic (the Croatian Social Liberal Party), Damir Kajin
(the Istrian Democratic Union), Jozo Rados (Libra), Zlatko
Kramaric (the Liberal Party) and Tonci Tadic (the Croatian Party of
Rights).
The parliamentarians have assumed the obligation to draw up six
bills by 10 June: a bill on direct election of mayors of towns and
municipalities, a bill on prevention of nepotism, a bill on the
right to information, a bill on declaration of assets of those who
hold office, a bill on conflict of interest and the one on public
media.
The anti-corruption programme of the association envisages a
series of reforms in the public and state sector, local authorities
and self-government.
